As with their debut CD release, End of Silence, the GRAMMY-nominated band RED brings out their punk-grunge, beat
pounding tempo with hard rock riffs and tight orchestrations again in their sophomore album, Innocence & Instinct.
Released, just February of 2009, RED already has topped multiple charts with their singles “Fight Inside,” “Death of Me”
and “Never be the same.”
Currently touring the US, this Nashville based group has toured over 500+ times since their debut in 2006 and with
names such as Papa Roach, Seether, Puddle of Mudd, and Staind, to name a few. Even with their soaring success,
RED is as dedicated to their music as they are to their fans, who come out to see them time and time again.
After a devastating car accident in 2007, Innocence & Instinct explores musicians Michael (vocals) Anthony (bass) Randy
(guitar) Hayden (drums) and Jasen’s (guitar) life changes, coming through such an event and even mixing in inspiration
from Dante’s Inferno. Lyrics such as “I’ll never be the same, I’m caught inside the memories of promises of yesterdays”
and “… it finds me, The fight inside is coarsing through my veins. And it's raging, The fight inside is hurting me again,”
perceptively tells of the challenge to overcome our innocence and how our instinct can sometimes get the better of us.
The saying, “if it is not broke, don’t fix it,” can certainly apply to Innocence & Instinct. Producer and award winner Rob
Graves built on what End of Silence finished with and brings out that heart pounding, soaring, raw emotion fans and
fellow musicians gravitated too. Covering Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World” and also co-writing “Shadows,” with Breaking
Benjamin, RED not only showcase their growth and depth as musicians, but “ups the ante,” in the genre of rock,
stamping a place among the musical world.
