MUCH SUPPORT FOR THIS BAND!!!!
A.D.D IS ABOUT TO BLOW YOUR MIND. WITH POWERFUL LYRICS
AND ELECTRIFYING CHORD'S A NEW ERA FOR MUSIC IS ON THE
RISE. MANY HAVE WITNESSED ALREADY WHAT A.D.D BRINGS
TO THE STAGE AND FOR THOSE OF YOU HAVEN'T YET. WELL
ALL WE CAN SAY IS YOU ARE ABOUT TO EXPERIENCE WHAT IS
KNOW TO MANY ALREADY AS : ANALOG DIGITAL DISORDER!!!!
M4M: HOW LONG HAS THE GROUP BEEN PERFORMING TOGETHER FOR?
A.D.D: 5 years as A.D.D. Many more in various other groups.
M4M: WHAT DOES A.D.D STAND FOR?
A.D.D: Analog Digital Disorder
M4M: WHAT IS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND YOUR POWERFUL LYRICS AND SOUND?
A.D.D: Personal life experiences, whether they would be good or bad.
M4M: SO YOU ARE IN A MAJOR MUSIC COMPETITION RIGHT? EXACTLY WHAT IS
INVOLVED AND WHAT ARE THE STAKES? WE HEAR IT IS 1 MILLION DOLLARS OR
SOMETHING???
A.D.D: Yes. The BoDog Battle of the bands. Round 2 wrapped up last week and we should know in a day or so if we've
moved onto round 3. A $1,000,000 recording contract would certainly be an excellent prize !!
M4M: WHAT DO YOU FEEL YOU BRING TO THE MUSIC WORLD THAT IS DIFFERENT OR HAS BEEN FORGOTTEN?
A.D.D: Honesty, we have never and will never try to be something we are not.
M4M: A.D.D IS NO STRANGER TO OPENING FOR MAJOR NATIONAL ARTISTS, CORRECT? YOU HAVE OPENED
FOR SOME PRETTY POWERFUL ARTISTS!
A.D.D: Yes we have. Hinder, Alter Bridge, Submersed, Nonpoint, Dope, Shadows Fall, Black Stone Cherry, Powerman
5000, Doro, Adema, Kittie, Otep, As I Lay Dying, Remembering Never, Local H, Himsa, Unloco, 40 Below Summer.. And
there's more, but I'll stop now. Almost all of them have been great to us too, Willing to hang out and just be normal.
M4M: CAN YOU TELL US WHAT GOES INTO THE PREPARATION AND EXECUTION OF BEING AN INSPIRING ARTIST?
WHAT ARE THE SACRIFICES THAT ARTISTS ARE FACED WITH?
A.D.D: We just do what we like to do as far as our music goes. We figure that we are pretty
normal people, and if we truly like the songs we've written, then other people should like
them too. The biggest sacrifice would have to be time away from our families. What helps
us with that is that our families realize how much music means to each of us, and everyone
is very supportive.
M4M: YOU ALREADY HAVE A SELF-RELEASED ALBUM RIGHT?
A.D.D: We've done 2 self-released CDs. Our latest is "Elements of Emptiness". It's a 7
song CD that was done entirely with Tadpole (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Mushroomhead
& more). We also have a 5 song EP available called "19 Minute Attention Span". We still play tunes from that CD
sometimes, depending on the situation.
M4M: HOW DID IT COME ABOUT WORKING WITH PRODUCER TADPOLE? HE IS PRETTY BIG ISN'T HE?
A.D.D: His name is certainly becoming bigger and bigger in the music scene. Working with huge acts like 3 Doors Down
and Disturbed will get your name out there. We got hooked up with Tadpole through a music lawyer out of New York. He
wanted Tadpole to check us out and Tadpole liked what he saw and heard. Next thing you know, we are in the studio
with him recording tunes.
M4M: WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP FOR A.D.D? DO YOU HAVE LONG TERM GOALS OR TAKE IT ONE DAY AT A TIME?
A.D.D: Our next step is also our long term goal...find someone or a label that believes
enough in the band to give us that extra push. We'd love to tour all over the place, but it
should be in support of a CD. We need to record a full CD and we also need to have those
CDs available to everyone. Getting the CD out to every store is not something we can do
on our own. That is where a label can help.
M4M: SO YOU ARE YOU SELF PROMOTED? WHAT GOES INTO THAT? DO YOU EVER
GET TO SLEEP?
A.D.D: Yes, we are self-promoted. There are a good handful of people out there that help
(banners on MySpace, bulletin to their friends, word of mouth, etc.), but most of it is done
by the band. Sleep?? Yeah, we've heard of it...we may try it sometime.
M4M: IT SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF YOUR MUSIC COULD BECOME MAINSTREAM HITS!
HAS THERE BEEN ANY RADIO SUPPORT?
A.D.D: Great, glad you think so... We just got to let the rest of the world know it !! We have had some radio support. We
placed in the top 5 on 106.9 The Surge, out in Pennsylvania. 5. Can't Breathe - A.D.D. 4. Hate Me - Blue October 3.
Through Glass - Stone Sour 2. Diary Of Jane - Breaking Benjamin 1. Lips Of An Angel - Hinder. Also been played on
numerous stations. We have had great support from a LOT of online stations.
M4M: MARGARET SEEMS TO HAVE A VERY UNIQUE STYLE AND GREAT VOCAL RANGE. HOW DOES THAT HELP
AND DOES IT GIVE THE GROUP MORE OPTIONS WHEN WRITING LYRICS?
A.D.D: It really helps with the melody lines more than the lyrics. We know that we can challenge Margaret and get great
results in the end. (She can pay me for saying that later!!!!)
M4M: IT IS VERY RARE YOU GET CD QUALITY SOUND WHEN PERFORMING IN LIVE VENUES. HOW DO YOU
OVERCOME POOR SOUND MIXERS AND POOR SOUNDS SYSTEMS IN A LOT OF VENUES?
A.D.D: It all comes with experience. The more places you play, the more you learn the ins and
outs of playing on a stage. You learn how to deal with bad monitors, no monitors, feedback,
bad sound guys, etc. We all use top gear when we play live, so if the PA isn't going to cut it,
we can always turn it up !!!
M4M: IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WISH TO SAY TO THE FANS, THE CRITICS, OR THE MUSIC
WORLD IN GENERAL?
A.D.D: We've got some big plans for '08 so be on the look out!!
M4M: WE WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK WITH BODOG AND HOPE TO SEE YOU SIGNED AND PERFORMING
NATIONALLY SOON!
A.D.D: Actually, while replying back to you, we just found out that we made it to Round 3. See you all at Metro on
January 19, 2008 !!! As far as seeing us perform nationally...we hope so too !!
